The press gang
The press gang is a collaboration of Wirral EIT service users and staff members, who meet once a month to discuss, plan, design, write and publish the team's great new monthly newsletter, "on the grapevine". Service users are encouraged to join the press gang themselves, and contribute in any way they can.
The next press gang meeting will be held at Birkenhead Connexions, on 12th March 2008 at 3pm. You can contact Jo G or Shaun, or email Jo at: Jo.Goodwin@cwp.nhs.uk. Everybody is welcome, and attendees might even get a free can of coke at the team's expense (but no promises!).
Hopes for the newsletter
The newsletter is designed to reach and include every single service user of the Wirral Early Intervention Team. It informs readers of upcoming activities and events, and also features reviews of movies and restaurants. A recent edition welcomed several new staff members to the team, and at the same time let service users know that their team was being strengthened (see below). On the grapevine is still in it's infancy as a project, but it is already showing a lot of potential as a crucial means of communication. Who knows what the future holds for it? This webiste is designed to compliment the newsletter, and our forum provides an easy way for those of you with internet access to offer up suggestions for it's improvement. Come on, get involved! This means you!
